이정환 사진전 작품리뷰2 ‘주남(注南).. 시간의 길을 걷다 Joonam… Along the Road of Time’ 진주 갤러리 미르아트홀 초대전
사진작가 이정환 씨가 진주 갤러리 미르아트홀 초대사진전을 개최한다. 오는 6울20일부터 26일까지 전시할 예정이며 21일 오후 6시엔 작가와의 만남 시간도 가질 예정이다.

언젠가 헨리 소로우의 “월든(Walden)에 관한 이야기를 들은 적이 있습니다. 그는 자신의 고향에 있는 호수가에 살며, 풍경과 그 주변의 삶을 이야기로 풀어냈다고 합니다.
제게도 그런 공간이 있습니다. 바로 “주남(注南)“입니다. 주남으 어머니의 품과도 같은 저의 안식처입니다. 언제 어디서든 잠깐의 시간적 여유라도 있다 싶으면 주남이 궁금하여 마음이 먼저 그곳으로 달려가곤 합니다.
“오늘은 어떤 모습일까?”
“백로와 수많은 철새들은 어디에 모여 있을까?”
“연꽃들은 얼마나 피었을까?”
그리고 이제는 긴 침묵을 깨고 「주남의 사계(四季)」를 사진으로 그려봅니다.
10여 년 전 연(蓮)을 소재로 전시회를 한 이후, 오랜 기다림 끝에 작품전을 열게 되었습니다.
제 머릿속에 그려지는 상상과 찰나의 순간에 대한 욕구가 주남을 통해 그려지고, 애틋한 그리움이 사진으로 남기까지 주남은 제게 오랜 시간 작업을 요구한 공간이었습니다.
이제 그 작업의 결실을 여러분 앞에 내 놓습니다. 「주남의 사계(四季)」는 인간과 자연이 사진의 시간을 통해 만나는 또 하나의 공간입니다. 이 공간속에서 주남이 가진 다양한 형상과 운동을 만나보시기 바랍니다.
때로는 자연에서 느끼는 우리의 자유가 아름다움이라는 감정으로 표현됩니다.
제 작은 결실이 여러분들에게 자유로 다가가길 기대해봅니다.
Joonam… Along the Road of Time..

I’ve heard about “Walden” written by Henry Thoreau. He lived on the shores of Walden Pond, near his hometown, and made accounts of his living, thinking, and lakeside scenes.
I have such a place. This is “Joonam”. It is my place to rest, in which I feel like in my mother’s arms. Whenever and wherever I have time on my side, my heart is always running to Joonam.
“What it looks like today? Does the fog lift?”
“Where are the white herons and migrating birds?”
“How many lotus flowers are in bloom?”
Now, I break my long silence and picture the “four seasons of Joonam” with my photographs.
Ten years ago, I held a photo exhibition of ‘lotus,’ and after a long wait, I finally have this exhibition. It took so much time for me to picture Joonam from my imagination and the desire for the moment and to express my longing for Joonam through these photos.
Now it is time to present to you the fruits of my hard works. “The Four Seasons of Jooman” is another platform where humans and nature meet together through the photographs. I hope that you will meet various shapes and movement of Joonam in this exhibition.
Sometimes, freedom we feel in nature is expressed with the emotion of “beautifulness”. I also wish my works will make you feel free and easy.
