📰 K민화 노지영 작가 — 전통의 숨결로 희망을 그리다

 

 

 K민화 작가 노지영은 전통 민화의 아름다움을 현대적으로 재해석하며, 우리 삶 속에 따뜻한 위로와 희망의 메시지를 전하고 있는 작가다.

 

 현재 김포대학교 평생교육원과 한국문화센터 양천지부에서 민화 강사로 활동 중인 그는, 활발한 전시 활동을 통해 전통의 맥을 이어가고 있다.

 

 그의 주요 전시 이력으로는

 

 2022년 동덕아트갤러리 ‘물럿거라, 세화 나가신다’,

 

 2023년 서울한지문화재 ‘한지로 전통의 길을 잇다’ 초대전,

 

 2024년 청향갤러리 초대전,

 

 2025년 대한민국명인연합회 초청 개인전 등이 있으며, 그 외 다수의 단체전과 기획전에 참여해왔다.

노 작가는 “K-민화는 자연의 아름다움과 상징적 의미를 담아 우리에게 따뜻한 위로와 희망을 전하는 예술”이라 말한다. 그는 민화를 통해 전통의 숨결을 이어가고, 그 속에 깃든 선조의 지혜와 정서를 되새기며, 더 많은 사람들이 우리 민화의 가치를 알아가기를 바라고 있다.

 

 이번에 참여하는 K민화 단체전에서는 ‘십장생도’, ‘모자호랑이’, ‘쌍운용도’ 등 세 점의 작품을 선보일 예정이다. 특히 지역주민과 함께하는 도서관 공간을 민화의 아름다움으로 물들이는 특별한 전시로 기대를 모은다.

 

 노지영 작가의 작품은 정교한 필치와 독창적인 색감, 그리고 전통 기법의 깊이를 함께 담고 있어, 누구도 쉽게 따를 수 없는 섬세한 예술 세계를 보여준다.
그녀의 민화는 단순한 그림을 넘어, 전통과 현대를 잇는 다리이자 마음을 치유하는 예술의 언어로 자리하고 있다.
 

📰 K-Minhwa Artist Noh Ji-young — Painting Hope through the Breath of Tradition

 

 K-Minhwa artist Noh Ji-young is known for reinterpreting the beauty of traditional Korean folk painting (Minhwa) in a contemporary way, delivering messages of comfort and hope through her art.

 

 Currently, she teaches Minhwa at Gimpo University Lifelong Education Center and the Korean Cultural Center (Yangcheon Branch), continuing to share the value of tradition through both education and artistic practice.

 

 Her major exhibitions include:

 

 2022 — “Make Way, the New Year’s Painting is Coming”, Dongduk Art Gallery

 

 2023 — “Connecting the Path of Tradition through Hanji”, Seoul Hanji Cultural Festival (Invitational Exhibition)

 

 2024 — Invitational Exhibition, Cheonghyang Gallery

 

 2025 — Invitational Solo Exhibition, Federation of Korean Masters
as well as numerous group and special exhibitions.

 Noh expresses, “K-Minhwa embraces the beauty and symbolism of nature, bringing warmth and hope to our lives. Through Minhwa, I seek to carry on the breath of tradition and remind people of the wisdom and emotions of our ancestors, so that more people may come to appreciate the true value of Korean folk painting.”

 

 In the upcoming K-Minhwa Group Exhibition, she will present three works — “Sipjangsaengdo” (Ten Symbols of Longevity), “Mother and Tiger”, and “Twin Dragons Rising”. The exhibition, held in collaboration with the local community library, will fill the space with the vibrant spirit of Minhwa.

 

 Noh Ji-young’s artistry is distinguished by her meticulous brushwork, unique color sense, and mastery of traditional techniques, creating a depth that is difficult to replicate. Her paintings transcend mere imagery — they serve as a bridge between tradition and modernity, and as a language of art that heals the heart.
